Fun Fact Friday
Happy Fun Fact Friday, everyone! Whether you’re wrapping up a busy week or easing into a relaxing weekend, today’s the perfect time to hit pause and enjoy a little dose of curiosity.
Fun Fact Friday is all about those “Wait, really?!” moments — the little bits of trivia that make you smile, raise your eyebrows, or win you a round of applause at your next game night.
Fun Fact of the Week:
Did you know?
Octopuses have three hearts — and two of them actually stop beating when they swim!
Yep, it’s true! Octopuses have one main heart that keeps their organs working and two branchial hearts that pump blood through their gills. But when they swim, those two gill hearts take a break — which is one of the reasons they prefer crawling to swimming. Who knew undersea life came with cardio decisions?
Why Share Fun Facts?
Fun facts are more than just great conversation starters — they’re a fun and easy way to keep learning, spark curiosity, and bring a little wonder into the everyday. Plus, they’re a great excuse to say, “You learn something new every day!”
Here are a few more just for fun:
Bananas are berries, but strawberries aren’t.
Honey never spoils. Archaeologists have found pots of it in ancient tombs — still perfectly edible!
Wombat poop is cube-shaped. Yes, really. Nature is weird and wonderful.
Sharks existed before trees. That’s over 400 million years of lurking in style.
