Mindful Monday
Good morning, we have made it to another beautiful Monday. I hope that you had an enjoyable weekend and took some time to unplug from your electronics and get back into nature.
This morning I was reading an article by Dr. Katie Frac about how anger can be a useful emotion and I was taken back and given some inspiration about the subject. She said that these are the reasons that anger can be useful to protect us.
1.) It tells you when your boundaries are being crossed
2.) It helps you know when things are unfair
3.) It motivates you to stand up for yourself or others
4.) It helps you speak up for what is right
5.) It tells you when something is important to you
6.) It empowers you to say no
7.) It gives you energy needed to make changes
Often we are taught that being angry isn't good for you or for others around you. I don't know about you but I for one had never stopped to think about all the reasons being angry can be good for you or the people around you. I hope that this message inspires you to start looking at anger in a different light and that you will start to use your anger in a healthy way.
