Motivational Monday

Good morning, we have made it to another beautiful Monday. I hope that you had an amazing and an enjoyable weekend and took some time to unplug from your electronics, spend time with your family and friends and get back into nature.

Today I read a quote that said " Don't just talk about what you're going to do. Take action and be willing to face the discomfort that comes with growth." -Cheryl Richardson. We all like to talk about what we can or want to do that could better our lives but very few people are willing to put in the hard work needed to reach those goals. 

You do yourself a disservice when you talk about what you're going to do but then don't follow through with it. Our minds don't know any better so when we commit to ourselves that we are going to do something and we don't we are reinforcing our brains that we don't follow through with our promises and this has a way of making us feel like a failure. 

My challenge for you today is to take the day and really look at how many times you have promised yourself that you are going to do something and haven't done it. This will determine how big of a problem you have and then start making the small changes to reinforce to your brain that you're not a failure. For example instead of saying when I get off work I am going to go for a run wait until you have your shoes on and tell yourself ok now I am going for a run. This will allow you to reinforce good habits to your brain and bring more fulfillment because you're sticking to your word. This isn't going to be an overnight fix but it will help in the long run.
