The thought that someone would mangle his body repeatedly just for our viewing pleasure and the thrill of it was amazing. I was a kid back then. It strikes me a little differently now. The "Wall of Death" displays brought me back to the fairgrounds of my youth. The custom bikes were something to behold, as were the ancient ones, the ones that came first. It was as much history as anything else. Frankly, it had better history than most history museums. I had things called back to memory as well as learning new things.
